Happy New Year! Intentions, Focused, Serenity, Persist

Hey Happy New Year, Friends! 🥳

Intentions, Focused, Serenity, Persist.

Sending you some Goddess strength good vibes for 2024. Hope it's loaded with spectacular wins, beautiful moments, and all the amazing stuff you've been dreaming of.

I need to preface this by saying if you decide to stick around, my emails and posts will focus on Keeping Social Simple with Consistent Creative Content. However it’s the top of the year and setting my intentions on everything I want to do is extremely important to my process. Even something as simple as a business wanting to be more active on social media needs a foundation to enforce your WHY.

So I’m going to share my process with you and maybe it will help if you’re feeling stuck in this area or just want a different approach.

For the last couple of years, I set quiet mantras for myself for the New Year. It would include a short phrase and my word for the year. I would write them down, tape them to my mirror and repeat them anytime I felt like I was going off track.

2021 was ‘Slow & Steady’ - Reminding myself that I wasn’t on anyone’s timeline of when my goals needed to be achieved.  Intentions was about being deliberate and purposeful in every action I took.

2022 was ‘One Step Closer’ - Reminding myself that even the smallest of actions brings me one step closer to my goals.  Focused was about concentrating on the here and now, ensuring that each step, no matter how small, was purposeful and deliberate.

2023 was ‘Protect my Peace’ - Reminding myself that’s it’s very easy to let my work-life balance get in a disarray. If I was to be successful at anything, I needed to protect my peace at all costs so that I could concentrate and focus on what mattered. That took a lot of restructuring how I handled things. Serenity challenged me to adopt mindful practices and conscious decisions to not let external pressures disrupt my inner calm. I can write my best when I am calm and can hear all sides. I needed to create that environment constantly.

2024's mantra is ‘Go for the Dream’. I found that over the years, my goals have changed, sometimes from one extreme to the other, many times out of necessity. But my DREAM - the one that constantly tugs at my heart  and sits in my gut, has always been the same.  The partner word is Persist for all that it means. This is MY dream and I am the only one responsible for relentlessly pursuing my dream, regardless of how my goals may shift over time.

I wrote this down last night on a post it notes. Stuck them to the fridge, my mirrors, my iPad and reMarkable covers. I created a new notebook in my reMarkable and will be jotting down all the things I need to do, have questions on or want to explore in order to Go for my Dream. Most importantly I will more consciously and proactively work on achieving my Dream, no matter how long it takes. It’s important, to me, and that’s all I need to make it a priority.

I challenge you to do the same. Write it down. Hang it up where you can see it every day. Tell your Triad of Triumph group [you do have one of those, right? ;) ] so they can hold you accountable or remind you of your dream when you're in a funk.

I've even created a quick worksheet with some ideas to help you organize your thoughts.

And if nothing else, I hope any practice of setting clear intentions, along with the reminder that it's perfectly okay to progress at your own pace and in your own style, helps keep you empowered and confident as you pursue whatever comes next for you.

Can't wait to see all the awesome things you'll accomplish this year. Let's keep in touch. Here’s to crushing it in 2024!

Wishing you abundance in all the things that bring you true joy.

Stay curious, stay connected.  🌟
